New Endevco 7262A — Amplified Output Piezoresistive Accelerometer

The Endevco® 7262A is a rugged, gas‑damped, DC‑response piezoresistive accelerometer with amplified output. It is engineered for long‑duration transient shocks and high‑level events common to EV powertrain abuse tests, sled/impact studies, and aerospace component/LRU qualification. A compact, epoxy‑sealed body with integral 4‑conductor cable simplifies installation while maintaining high signal fidelity.

Key benefits

  • DC response with amplified output for capturing long‑duration transients.
  • Wide dynamic options: ±100 g, ±500 g, ±1000 g ranges.
  • Robust, environmentally sealed construction (IP67) with integral cable.
  • Lightweight (~6 g) for minimal mass loading.
  • ISO 17025 calibration supplied (sensitivity, ZMO, frequency response).

Applications

  • Avionics LRUs and equipment structural shock on benches
  • Landing gear and actuator transient shock characterisation
  • Handling/transport shock qualification for flight hardware
  • Ground rigs with long‑duration shock pulses where DC response is required

Integration notes

  • Wire for differential or single‑ended readout; maintain good grounding and shielding practice.
  • Use short, well‑routed harnesses; avoid parallel runs with high‑current switching paths.
  • Mount on a flat, clean surface; torque 2‑56 fasteners as per datasheet guidance.
  • Verify channel range, anti‑aliasing, and sampling for the expected shock pulse width.
